My Happy Marriage (My Blissful Marriage) or Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon (わたしの幸せな結婚) is a new anime series that premiered on Netflix on July 5, 2023. With its finale episode airing on September 20, 2023, and before bidding it a final adieu, let us look back at some of the best My Happy Marriage Romantic moments.
Based on the light novel of the same name written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka, it also has a manga adaptation illustrated by Rito Kohsaka. The live-action film adaptation of the fantasy series was released in Japan in March 2023. Following the story of Miyo, who enters an arranged marriage with a ruthless commander, officially got its own anime series announced to be directed by Takehiro Kubota under Kinema Citrus Studios. Ami Satō, Takahito Ōnishi and Momoka Toyoda are credited as the writers, and Evan Call gives the music.
Licensed under Netflix, the series is scheduled to run for 13 episodes. With an estimated duration of 20-25 minutes each, the episodes are available in English dub and subtitles. The opening theme song is Anata no Soba ni (貴方の側に。, “By Your Side”) by Riria and the ending theme song, Vita Philosophica (ヰタ・フィロソフィカ), is performed by Kashitarō Itō.

Kiyoka complimenting Miyo’s cooking (Episode 2)

In episode 2, Miyo is seen as new in the Kudo household and decides to make herself useful by cooking Kiyoka his breakfast. She expected the food to be mediocre and receive the worst possible feedback. However, Kiyoka complimented her skills which left Miyo shedding a few tears. The moment is truly romantic because no one else before Kiyoka ever praised Miyo for her work. And from that moment, their relationship started to bloom.
First date (Episode 3)

Kiyoka takes Miyo on a date even after she hesitates to go. This clearly showed that he cared about her and wished to see her happy. One of the most romantic moments was when she constantly reassured her that she was not a nuisance and he liked her presence. Later he even bought her many new Kimonos as a way to show that he cherishes her.
The gift (Episode 3)

After the date, they both returned home, and Miyo found a box outside her room. Inside the box is a beautiful comb inside it. She asks Kiyoka about it, and he says that it is a gift for her. The gift-giving is a sign that he is officially courting her, which is one of the most romantic moments in the series.
Kind gesture (Episode 4)

Another beautiful gesture that Kiyoka makes for Miyo is inviting her old maid to soothe her mind. When she goes to town for some shopping, she meets Kaya on the way, who says a lot of harsh words, which makes her upset for days. Kiyoka notices that does everything in his power to make her feel alright.

The return gift (Episode 4)

After finding out that Kiyoka was the one to bring back her old maid, she was filled with respect for him. She goes over to his room and offers the gift, which is a purple hair tie, that she made for him. Kiyoka expresses his feelings for her and promises to make their engagement official.
The saviour (Episode 6)

Another romantic moment of the series is when Kiyoka goes out of his way to save Miyo. She gets kidnapped by the Saimori family because they do not want her to get married to Kiyoka. However, Kiyoka reaches the Saimori household on time and takes down everyone on the way to bring Miyo back home.
Tragicly romantic (Episode 10)

The moment when Miyo and Kiyoka get separated is extremely tragic yet romantic. They finally showed how much they long for the other. However, they are unable to stay together due to the circumstances. The scene will definitely make you shed a tear or two.
Finally together

After spending a lot of time apart, Miyo and Kiyoka finally reunite. Miyo defeats the monsters that threatened Kiyoka’s life swiftly and takes him to a beautiful picturesque location. They both express their love for each other, decide to get married and live together happily ever after.
