Andrew Tate's House Raid, Slapped With New Charges Involving Minors

Andrew Tate’s house in Romania was raided by Romania’s anti-organized crime agency, DIICOT, who announced that it was conducting searches at four homes in Bucharest and the nearby Ilfov County.

All the accused have denied the charges.

Tate’s spokesperson Mateea Petrescu in a statement post the raids said,

“Although the charges in the search warrant are not yet fully clarified, they include suspicions of human trafficking and money laundering.

DIICOT said in its statement

“During the entire criminal process, the investigated persons benefit from the procedural rights and guarantees provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as the presumption of innocence”.

The agency added that hearings will be held at its headquarters later.

The 37-year-old Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan, 36, are former martial arts experts and have millions of followers.

Andrew Tate was taken into custody from his home in Ilfov, near Bucharest, by Romanian police after police raided homes in Romania.

The controversial influencer is already facing charges of rape and human trafficking and awaiting trial.

Now he faces additional charges of sex with, and trafficking in, underage persons, as well as money laundering and attempting to influence witnesses, prosecutors say.

The brothers were first taken to DIICOT in Bucharest for questioning – and afterwards taken into custody in handcuffs and under armed guard. They have been remanded in custody for 24 hours. They will be in custody until prosecutors can ask a judge to detain them for longer periods, move to house arrest or release them.

When a correspondent of BBC asked his opinion on his latest arrest, Andrew Tate shouted back that the prosecutors were “desperate”.

He added,

“Wait ’till you see. They say I have a lover-boyd the mother of my children. We tricked them into having kids.  Ask them this time what the evidence [is].”

He also described the latest charges as being more pathetic than the first.

Tate, his brother Tristan, and two Romanian women were previously arrested in 2022 and all four have been charged with human trafficking and money laundering. They were then released from house arrest in August 2023.
