Czech Gymnast Natalie Stichova Dies in 262-Foot Fall at Neuschwanstein Castle While Taking a Selfie
Something terrible happened recently, and the internet is shocked to see that transpire this way. So, Natalie Stichova, who’s a gymnast hailing from Czech, tragically died as she fell off while trying to take a picture of herself at the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany.
On August 15, 2024, she was visiting Tegelberg Mountain, and as she slipped while taking the picture, she fell about 262 feet off the edge of the place and died at the mere age of 23 years.
According to a friend who reported the incident, Natalie was near the edge of the mountain when the accident ended up happening.
The friend said,
“She fell from a height of about 80 metres (262 ft). We will never find out whether she slipped or whether a piece of the rock edge broke off.”
Now the scene of death is unclear, as it is not known whether Natalie fell off herself, or the edge of the mountain broke while she made the fall down.
After Natalie fell, she was immediately taken to the hospital through a helicopter.
However, after undergoing treatment, Natalie died 6 days later.
Natalie was travelling with her boyfriend and two friends when this accident happened.
Her gymnastics club, Sokol Pribram Sports Gymnastics, shared their condolences and sadness at their loss on the Instagram page.
