Delicious In Dungeon Episode 3 Review and Recap – A New Addition
The group is back with another new adventure and recipe, which might be the least appetizing out of all we have seen. The episode opens with Laios’s group travelling down a flight of stairs and moving to another chamber that leads to a closed-off room. This route is a shortcut because of which, they have saved a lot of time on their quest. But this is where Laios loses the wing-like decoration on his sword. When asked about its origin, we get the story behind how he once travelled to this chamber 3 years back and had a pretty bad experience.
Apparently, the closed room in this chamber is filled with moving armoured knights that are hollow from the inside and are said to be controlled with magic. If you get too close to them, they will surely kill you. The only way that you might use to travel to the other side is by crossing as soon as possible without giving the knights the time to register your presence.
I never would have guessed that Laios would want to eat even the armour, as obviously, you cannot do that because of their metallic composition. But in this anime, which is centred around food, anything can happen. Even armour can be eaten, just not in the sense we know, but in a different way.
This episode was much more enjoyable, and that was not because of the recipes shown here. On the contrary, the mystery behind how they would end up consuming these armours was much more interesting.
The episode also proves Laios’s love or obsession with monsters. He truly does love them in a weird way where he would like to try to eat them all. Things also turned a bit violent at the beginning of the episode, and this gives me hope that we might be seeing more of the dangers of the dungeon than its delicacies.
And towards the end, we also see a new addition to the party. This addition is definitely an intriguing one, as no one else in the group is aware of its presence other than Laios.
Verdict
All in all, it was another entertaining episode that definitely was better than its predecessors. I have high expectations from the series, and hopefully, we will explore more aspects of the dungeon and get behind the history of the Golden Kingdom.
