Brooke Schofield Apologizes For Her Racist Tweets Which She Posted In The Past

Brooke Schofield is a well-known social media YouTuber and TikTok creator. Brooke is currently facing tons of backlash because of old racist tweets that have recently surfaced online, causing a huge stir.

The tweets are from when she was 12 to 16 years old, dating back to 2012 to 2016.

Brooke Schofield Apologizes For Her Old Racist Tweets

The most controversial one that caught the attention of many includes a tweet from July 14, 2013, in which Brooke is seen supporting George Zimmerman, the man who shot Trayvon Martin, a Black teenager.

Brooke mentioned online that the shooting was not a racist move but was self-defence.

Her tweet read,

“Guarantee if (George) Zimmerman shot a white guy, this wouldn’t even be a story. News flash, this wasn’t a crime of racism, but it was self-defense.”

The other tweet read,

“I swear I had nappier hair this morning than most African Americans on this end of our country.”

There was another tweet as well, from August 12, 2012, which included a racist comment about hair, comparing it to the hair of African American people.

Recently when this situation came to light, Brooke Schofield also apologized online in a TikTok video.

Brooke admitted that the tweets were disturbing and she accepted why they were disturbing to people as well.

Brooke Schofield mentioned that the tweets were “wrong and horrible.”

Brooke blamed her upbringing for the views she had back in the day.

Brooke was raised by her grandparents after being adopted when she was only 10 because her parents were addicts.

Her grandparents turned out to be conservative people, which is why she started to believe in similar views at the time.

Brooke said,

“My parents were addicts so I was adopted by my grandparents when I was 10 and as is true for a lot of grandparents, they are a little bit less progressive than a lot of us are now.”

Brooke mentioned that when she started going to college, only then did she realize how wrong her ideologies were.

Brooke stated she regrets her take on certain things and her past opinions as well.

With the racism and issues going on around the world currently, people are not very happy with what Brooke stated in the past.

Brooke Schofield is facing massive backlash because of the statements she made.

A user stated, “Is her apology genuine, or is she apologizing now because she’s been caught?”

Another user commented, “She couldn’t choose to not speak about it but instead she addressed it and owned up to it which is a good thing.”
