Did Seth MacFarlane leave Family Guy?
It was announced in May 2023 that Family Guy creator, Seth, was exiting the show alongside other showrunners but only until the Writers Guild of America had reached a new deal with the studios.
He never addressed that he was leaving Family Guy permanently. Rather, he was standing in solidarity and showing support for the writers who began striking as part of the WGA.
That being said, the strike began in May and recently ended on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023, lasting 148 days and resulting in a tentative agreement that means writers can now resume work.
So, Seth is still very much a part of Family Guy and only left the project temporarily.
