Hacked Don Jr. X account posts eye-popping messages: ‘North Korea is about to get smoked’

Threats of war, reports of a presidential death and connections to Jeffrey Epstein all spread on social media Wednesday morning after the X account of a former first son was hacked.

Though not immediately apparent to some as thousands of users began sharing the posts seen across the platform before the alleged perpetrator was locked out, Donald Trump Jr.’s X account was confirmed compromised by a spokesperson.

While the short-lived stunt was shut down and the offending posts had been pulled from former President Donald Trump’s son’s account, screenshots continued circulating sparking concern that, among other things, the GOP 2024 frontrunner had shuffled off the mortal coil.

“I’m sad to announce, my father Donald Trump has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024,” came one of the posts on the account as another readily indicated how unserious the claims were with the message to the current occupant of the White House, “F*ck @JoeBiden Stupid A** N*gga.”

Presidential politics weren’t the only topics presented for X users to pick up and run with as the account also weighed in on the promiscuity of social media influencer Logan Paul’s model fiancé Nina Agdal, accusations brought against entrepreneur Richard Heart said to have cheated investors out of $12 million, and an impending attack against North Korea.

“I also f*cked your girl [by the way] @LoganPaul,” “Richard Heart is innocent, when I become president I am going to burn the SEC,” and “This just in: North Korea is about to get smoked,” read the posts in question.

The alleged hacker even seemed to level accusations against the former first son being connected to the infamous Jeffrey Epstein by posting, “Some interesting messages with Jeffrey Epstein…”

It appeared that Don Jr.’s brother Eric Trump had seen fit to have some fun at his expense with a tongue-in-cheek post that read, “What was @donaldtrumpjr password? Don2024?”

Another post attributed to the younger sibling read, “I don’t want @DonaldTrumpJr to get his account back — this is all too entertaining.”

While the alleged hacker had ultimately been blocked, Andrew Surabian, spokesman for Trump Jr., reacted to the posts being attributed to the presidential candidate’s son and said, “FYI: This is obviously not true. Don’s account has been hacked.”

At the time of this post, Trump, Trump Jr. and platform proprietor Elon Musk had yet to issue a direct comment on the Wednesday morning incident that CNN reported raised “fresh questions about X’s role in securing user accounts, particularly those belonging to high-profile political figures as the platform prepares for the 2024 elections.”

Others were more than willing to offer their own takes on the apparent hack, including offering their own swipes at President Biden.
