This record is a collaborative effort between Kanye West and Dr. Dre and includes remixes of tracks from the original “Jesus Is King” album. It also features new verses from prominent artists like 2 Chainz, Snoop Dogg, A$AP Ferg, Pusha T, Marsha Ambrosius, and more.
While some tracks from the leaked album were previously accessible, such as the Eminem-assisted “Use This Gospel” on DJ Khaled’s 2022 release, “God Did,” this leak presents a more comprehensive collection. Notable updates include revamped versions of “Closed on Sunday” and “Hands On,” featuring Anderson .Paak and Travis Scott, respectively.
Kanye West had hinted at the existence of “Jesus Is King Part II” as early as November 2019 through tweets. He expressed his desire to create a sequel to his gospel-themed album in collaboration with Dr. Dre. The original “Jesus Is King” marked a departure from his earlier work, focusing on religious themes and clean content.
However, despite initial announcements and hints, the sequel never materialized. Kanye West’s most recent album, “Donda,” was released in 2021. In February 2022, he previewed music from “Donda 2” at a listening event, but these tracks were only made available through his Stem Player.
In recent times, Kanye West faced controversies and challenges in his career, including instances of anti-Semitic rhetoric and allegations of creating hostile work environments.
