Joe Biden Finally Opts Out Of Upcoming US Elections Battle With Donald Trump, Endorses Kamala Harris
The talks about US President Joe Biden stepping down from the race for the next US presidential election had been in the air for some time and proving all the rumours and reports true, Joe Biden dropped out of the US presidential election on Sunday endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as the presidential candidate.
Thus, Biden has paved the way for the first Black woman to run for the top executive post in US history.
Biden’s announcement came just after recovering from Covid at his Delaware beach house. Biden also said that he would speak to the nation later this week.
Pressure had been mounting on the 81-year-old US President to step down from the presidential race for the past some time.
The calls to step down increased especially after a disastrous June debate against Donald Trump, which raised worries about his age and mental fitness.
The latest move has thrown the Democratic Party’s electoral campaign into disarray.
However, it will serve as a fresh boost of enthusiasm for the demoralized party.
Kamala Harris has also confirmed her dream of becoming the first woman president of America and defeating Donald Trump.
Donald Trump took to his Truth Social network and, in a slew of posts, said that Biden was not fit to run for president nor was he fit to serve the nation.
The latest turn of events will surely worry Donald Trump’s Team’s electoral strategy, which was primarily focused on Biden’s advancing age and mental state.
However, now the focus will shift to the 78-year-old Donald Trump, who is also the oldest presidential nominee in US history, locking horns with a much younger opponent.
The Trump–Biden tussle had become highly unpopular, and there was a general sense of apathy among the American voters about the presidential elections.
However, the recent turn of events has turned the battle into one of the most compelling presidential campaigns in modern American politics.
Joe Biden Finally Out Of Re-Election Battle
In a letter posted on X, Joe Biden said,
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to be president. While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”
Endorsement for Kamala Harris is pouring in, with many bigwigs of the Democratic Party, including detractors such as California Governor Gavin Newsom, throwing their weight behind her.
The Democratic fundraising group ActBlue revealed that Harris received $50 million in small-donor contributions over the course of just 7 hours.
However, Harris has no dearth of foes, and the most vocal among them is Hindu-American former congressman Tulsi Gabbard, who dubbed Kamala as the new figurehead for the deep state.

The 43-year-old independent politician said in a video post,
“Biden’s out, Kamala is in. Don’t be fooled: policies won’t change. Just like Biden wasn’t the one calling the shots, Kamala Harris won’t be either. She is the new figurehead for the deep state and the maidservant of Hillary Clinton, queen of the cabal of warmongers. They will continue their efforts to engulf the world in war and take away our liberty,”
World leaders have also reacted to the fast-changing events in Washington.
Israel’s President Isaac Herzog expressed gratitude to Biden for being a staunch ally and supporting the Israeli people during his decade-long political career.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that his country will always respect the tough stance taken by Biden against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and his country will always remain grateful to him.
Meanwhile, Russia has remained noncommittal in the developing scene in Washington and said that it is more concerned with winning the war in Ukraine than the outcome of the US election.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that he was looking forward to working with Biden during the remainder of his presidency.
