Key details on application dates, eligibility, and required documents

The Nigerian Air Force is the nation’s premier security service which is entrusted with the task of securing the airspace of the nation. If you desire to become a part of this elite force it is time to update your CV and apply for the various posts on offer. The Nigerian Air Force has announced a recruitment exercise for its Basic Military Training Course.

Date of Nigerian Air Force recruitment registration

The free registration process will commence on Wednesday, August 21, and will close on Wednesday, October 2. Interested candidates should visit the online application portal using a mobile device or computer.

Necessary documents

The documents which you will have to provide are as follows-

  • Acknowledgement Form
  • Parent/Guardian Consent Form
  • A signed Local Government Attestation Form

Note: Multiple applications will lead to disqualification.

Minimum qualification

  • Must be Nigerian citizens and have a valid National Identification Card/NIN or Bank Verification Number (BVN).
  • Applicants must have a minimum height of 1.66m tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.63m tall.
  • Applicants must not have a criminal record or convicted by a court of law

Who can apply for Nigerian Air Force?

There are two categories for which citizens can apply –

  1. Non- tradesmen/women
  2.  Tradesmen/women

Applicants with handwork and a certificate of proof are eligible for tradesmen/women while SSCE holders are eligible for tradesmen/women

Eligibility Criteria for non-tradesmen/women:

  • Applicants must be between 18 and 22 years old, that is, those born before September 20, 2003, are not eligible.
  • Must have a minimum of five credits, including Mathematics and English Language

Requirements for tradesmen/women:

  • Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old, that is, those born before September 20, 2000, are not eligible.
  • Applicants for chaplain/imam assistant and driver/mechanic roles must be between 18 and 28 years old. Those born before September 20, 1997, are not eligible.
  • Applicants with ND/NCE must have at least a lower credit from accredited institutions and five credits, including Mathematics and English Language.
  • Applicants for professions allied to medicine must possess an ND from a recognised training institution in Nigeria and a valid practicing license.

Applicants for the trade skills listed below must have trade test certificates and a minimum of two passes in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB:

  • Plumbing
  • Masonry
  • Welding
  • Town Planning
  • Surveying/Geoinformatics
  • Draughtsmanship
  • Electrician
  • Building Technology
  • Painting
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Civil Engineering

  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

Applicants applying as sportsmen/women must present evidence of their experience, such as certificates and medals.
