Moment Brooklyn rapper 6ix9ine is arrested for ‘beating up two producers in a fight over his girlfriend’ then trying to flee Dominican Republic on a private jet

The moment distraught rapper 6ix9ine was dragged away in handcuffs by police in the Dominican Republic on Friday night was caught on camera.

The singer, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was wanted on the Caribbean island in connection with the assault of two music producers. The alleged attack is related to the rapper’s girlfriend, Dominican singer Yailin La mas viral, reports Diario Libre.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, known for his rainbow-colored hair and ’69’ tattoo on his forehead, previously faced decades in prison as part of a racketeering case in which he was accused of running a violent gang as a ‘personal hit team’ used.

Instead, his sentence was reduced to about two years after his testimony against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, which earned him a label as a ‘snitch’.

The footage shows Hernandez, 27, being led down the stairs outside a hotel as a crowd cheers and records the moment on their cellphones.

Hernandez’s arrest was confirmed by Dominican Republic-based criminal attorney Felix Portes

Hernandez’s arrest was confirmed by Dominican Republic-based criminal attorney Felix Portes. In a series of posts on Instagram, Portes said Hernandez tried to flee the country in a private jet but was placed on a “migration alert” meaning he could leave because of the arrest warrant issued.

The actual assault was not captured on video, but a clip showing a group of men entering a building is said to show the moments before the attack took place. The men then rush off a few minutes after arriving.

According to the Diario Libre report, Yailin was recording a song at a studio with producer Diamond La Mafia when he was attacked by five men along with another person.

La Mafia told the site that Yailin left the studio at that point. When the men arrived, they demanded to know where she was. He let them into the studio and when they couldn’t find her, they started attacking.

The other man, who was hit with the butt of a gun, needed surgery to realign his jaw, reports Diario Libre.

Diamond La Mafia accused Hernandez of being ‘jealous’ of his relationship with Yailin.

According to Portes, Hernandez was arrested in the town of Samana and will be transferred to La Vega to answer the assault charges.

In August, the GUMMA hitmaker was arrested on charges related to traffic violations in Florida after failing to appear. While just four months earlier, Hernandez was beaten in an LA Fitness gym in Florida.

The rapper was sent to hospital to be treated for serious injuries, including cuts, bruises and swelling to his jaw, ribs and back.

Shortly after the brutal attack, the group of men who claimed to have beaten him bragged about the attack on social media.

In videos circulating online, they called him a ‘rat’ who would not be tolerated in their ‘hood.

As he kicked and punched him, one could be heard shouting to another: ‘Take a picture, take a picture – I’m going to be famous now.’

It is not currently known what exactly prompted the attack in Florida, but Hernandez rarely had enemies.

His popularity plummeted in 2018 after he was branded a crook for testifying for prosecutors as part of a deal to reduce his own time in prison.

He faced an eye-watering minimum of 47 years in prison and could have been out for life after being charged with multiple crimes including racketeering, firearms possession, armed robbery and attempted murder.

But prosecutors cut him a deal, drawing the ire of the entire rap world, and he ended up serving just two years behind bars.
