My Demon Episode 8 Recap and Review Do-hee Is Fed Up With Everything

In this episode, Gu-won is rushed to the hospital, where he gets immediate treatment. Bok-gyu and Ga-young are also by his side. On the other hand, Do-hee gets to know about Gu-won’s situation, and she, along with Seok-hoon, hurries to the hospital as soon as possible from the police station. At the hospital, upon seeing Do-hee, Ga-young immediately blames her for Gu-won’s condition, and she is taken away by Bok-gyu. Do-hee, without wasting any time, places Gu-won’s hand upon her tattoo and tries to recharge him. This entire scene is witnessed by Seok-hoon, who notices this act and ponders upon it.

Gu-won wakes up after recharging, and Do-hee becomes surprised and overjoyed when she sees him opening his eyes. He is out of danger now but very weak, and he asks Do-hee not to leave him and hugs her tight.

This is seen by Ga-young, and she becomes all the more jealous of Do-hee. Later, Do-hee goes back to the police station with Seok-hoon and thinks about how Ga-young accused her of making Gu-won’s life more miserable. That night, Gu-won sees himself burning in a fire in his dream and wakes up the next day sweating profusely.

At the hospital, Gu-won gets visited by the gangsters, who are surprisingly very loyal to him and do whatever he says. That is when Do-hee visits, and Gu-won asks her to move him back to their apartment as he doesn’t want to live in the hospital anymore. Somewhere else, Do-gyeong gets a message from the killer that Gu-won has seen his face, and now he will come to hunt him down, proving his association with the killer. That night, both Gu-won and Do-hee hug each other to sleep, and Gu-won gets to recharge for quite a long time.

The next day, despite Do-hee’s insistence that she does not need protection, Gu-won accompanies her to the office, where everybody is shocked and happy to see him alive. There, when cutting his congratulatory cake, Gu-won becomes very afraid of fire, and Bok-gyu picks up on it. They discuss Gu-won’s nightmare and sense impending danger.

At the same time, Ga-young visits Do-hee’s office, where she again blames her for everything. Later, Ga-young also confronts Gu-won about how he is becoming more human because of his feelings for Do-hee. On their way back home, both Do-hee and Gu-won remain quiet and hide what Ga-young has said to them from each other.

That night, Do-hee talks to Cheon-sook’s spirit and makes a decision, which she informs Seok-hoon. The next day, she goes to the board meeting and announces she will renounce her candidacy as a chairperson and also give up her inheritance. This decision does not sit well with Gu-won, and he asks her why she did it. Do-hee knowingly says hurtful words to him and makes it seem like she is doing it because Gu-won is powerless and can’t protect her anymore. Understanding full well that this is not the case, Gu-won goes to Seok-hoon and asks him for the real cause. There, Seok-hoon tells him that Do-hee is doing this so that she doesn’t hurt him anymore.

Back at Cheon-sook’s garden, Do-hee thinks about her decision to leave everything and encounters an agitated Gu-won. He tells her to do whatever her heart wants as he will be happy only that way. But Do-hee says she doesn’t want anyone she loves to get hurt anymore, confessing her feelings to him. They share a passionate kiss, confirming each other’s love for the first time.

My Demon Episode 8 Review

They just delivered another rollercoaster of an episode that very nicely plays with our emotions. In the beginning, you will feel agitated about how everything is going south for our pair, and by the end, you will be left a blushing mess because of that one intense kiss. Like seriously, this pair is absolutely perfect. Apart from that, I feel Do-gyeong might not be the original villain, and he is being used just to throw us off.

All in all, I am expecting another great episode next week, where we will now witness more romance than ever.
