The picture has caused a huge buzz on the internet and is praised for its emotional depth and powerful message.

Social media users are going gaga over the picture and have hailed it as the “photo of the year”.

Users have been pouring their thoughts on the internet to highlight its significance.

A Twitter User described the picture as moving, powerful, and just stunning while another described it as an image of hope for America.

Many users have predicted the things in store for Amara in the future and the profound moment the picture captures will resonate throughout her life.

Another user felt that the picture would go into the history books as a representation of progress and change in the US.

There has been some criticism of the picture with some antagonists labeling it as creepy and even dystopian. However, often there are polarized reactions of epoch-making moments and this time it has not been different with many describing the event with darker connotations.

The picture is also a testament to the role Harris’ family played in the convention.

Just before the speech by Kamala Harris, Amara and her younger sister, Leela, gave some lessons to the crowd on how to pronounce their Aunt’s first name “Kama” and then “La” like the song “la, la, la”

Describing how he could click this amazing click, Todd Heisler told CNN’s Abby Phillip Friday that he was standing in the buffer area directly behind Harris’ family in front of the stage, and was trying to get a photograph that would give people something different.

He said,

“I turned around and moved over a couple of feet to reposition and when I looked up, this is the angle that I saw, and I made that photograph. It just kind of presented itself to me”.

 Heisler added,

“To be able to reach that many people with an image is just really powerful. It speaks to the power of photojournalism, you know, especially in a time of AI and people questioning reality … To have seasoned photographers in the room who understand the context and the historical significance of what’s happening, you know, in front of them, I think is really important.”
