Well known member of the heavy metal band Slipknot has suffered serious burn injuries on his face and upper torso. This was revealed by Sid Wilson on his Instagram where he revealed that the burn injuries were sustained by him after an explosion on his face. Wilson also posted a video from a hospital where the artist was receiving treatment for his injuries.
Sid Wilson said in the video,
“Hi everybody… My face is burned, and my cheeks… I had an explosion in my face. I’m okay – I’m gonna be okay… But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms.”
The video clearly reveals that Wilson has sustained serious burn injuries. The artist was trembling when he was recording the video and revealed that his eyebrows are singed, his mouth is blistered and both his arms are badly injured.
Wilson gave a fresh update in a follow up post and stated that he is being shifted to another facility for further treatment. He also revealed that his head will be shaved due to the injuries.
Wilson however did not reveal how the explosion happened and how he got injured. Wilson however clarified that the Band Slipknot’s forthcoming “Here Comes The Pain” anniversary tour, resuming on September 1 after a short break, will not be affected.
Wilson’s partner and mother of his child Kelly Osbourne however posted a few videos on her Instagram story which shows the musician wielding a chainsaw to clear a debris pile which was followed by the same pile on fire. She also posted another video where she can be seen with her son Sidney in the hospital with Wilson in the background.
The group released a statement which is reproduced below.
“Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body. He’s recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend. He thanks everyone for the well wishes, and will see you all soon.”

The Band Slipknot will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album with the “Here Comes the Pain” tour. The tour will also see the participation of special guests like Knocked Loose, Orbit Culture and Vended on select dates. Cities New York, Toronto and Los Angeles will be covered in the North American leg of the tour.
