Soundtrack 2 Episode 5 Recap
Hyeon-seo and Su-ho wake up in the morning shamefully after spending the night together. It’s an awkward wake-up, which is just made worse when Jin-gyeong arrives at her place out of the blue. Su-ho makes a slow exit, but on the way, he listens to Hyeon-seo and Jin-gyeong discussing the other night and realises that there is something going on between K and her. As Su-ho makes a hasty escape, Hyeon-seo makes plans to meet up with K.
The next day at the recording studio, Su-ho sits in, watching K and Hyeon-seo record – it’s clear that both of them are extremely fond of each other as they drown in the beautiful music. Later on, while leaving, he restarts the origami channel while she tearfully bids them goodbye, realising that Hyeon-seo loves her content.
Unfortunately, much to her chagrin, Su-ho finds out that Hyeon-seo and K are going to dinner that night but doesn’t have much incentive to stop it or join in. At dinner, Hyeon-seo wants to give K the reply to his question, but he asks her not to say anything because if she rejects him, the shoot won’t go well the next day. They decide to have a good time as he makes good memories before going to the US.
That night, Su-ho calls a heartbroken Hyeon-seo, who can’t help but be disheartened about her predicament. However, as they both miss each other, Su-ho ends up calling her and they both talk to each other as he falls asleep. The next day, the shoot goes flawlessly at the gorgeous seaside location, and everyone looks rather happy. However, K looks a little sad as the shoot wraps – he turns down coming to the wrap party and opts to go to his job at the cafe since it’s his last day.
That night, after everything is over, Su-ho laments about his relationship status with Hyeon-seo when he gets the raw footage of the shoot in his email. He finds a video of Hyeon-seo telling K that she doesn’t have feelings for him that was accidentally recorded and is left ecstatic at the turn of events. However, the footage cuts off before she can answer his question regarding starting over with Su-ho.
With the project now over, the normal piano lessons start, but before that, Su-ho asks her where they stand after everything. She tells him that she was afraid of falling for him again, and she still is, but the truth is that she has fallen for him again. Su-ho feels happy and asks her to continue to feel that way, and Hyeon-seo, unable to control herself any longer with her feelings, kisses him.
In the last scene, we see that some time has passed and Su-ho has learnt the piano but there might be trouble brewing for the couple.
Soundtrack 2 Episode 5 Bonus Track
Su-ho comments on the released video of K and Hyeon-seo’s songs as the biggest fanboy, and the audience gets to see the completed video.
Soundtrack 2 Episode 5 Review
With a happy turn of events, the audience will be forced to press next the moment episode 5 ends. The episode flows well and you will be sure that things will turn out well for the protagonists. But will it? I guess we will have to wait and watch. But this is a good penultimate episode that will keep you hooked. The chemistry between the actors is great, and feel like you are watching someone’s life play out in front of you. All in all, an entertaining end.
