Today, a report has revealed that co-directing duo Danny and Michael Philippou have stepped away from the upcoming Street Fighter live-action movie. The duo made their directorial debut with last year’s surprise hit Talk to Me. Unfortunately, Legendary didn’t want to wait for the duo to finish their next movie first, and the dup had to exit. Their next film at A24 begins filming later this month in Australia. The studio is looking for a replacement director and should consider Moritz Mohr. The director made his directorial debut with this year’s action-comedy Boy Kills World. The film has many callbacks to classic Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat tropes in his original dystopian revenge movie.

Street Fighter has no set release date
