Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has deployed the National Guard to re-install razor that the Biden administration cut last week.
Because the Biden administration is doing absolutely NOTHING about the border, Abbott recently had floating barriers containing razor wire installed along the Rio Grande. In response, the administration demanded he remove the barriers.
“The Department of Justice sued Texas today over Governor Greg Abbott’s controversial floating barrier in the Rio Grande. Abbott ordered the floating wall placed in the middle of the river separating the United States and Mexico to prevent migrants from illegally crossing into Texas,” NPR reported in July.
“The DOJ says the barrier violates federal law and presents, quote, ‘serious risks to public safety and the environment.’ It is the latest development in a growing battle between Republican states and the federal government over border security and immigration,” the report continued.
Fast-forward to this Wednesday when Abbott announced on Twitter that the administration had taken the extra step of outright cutting the razor wire. The governor was livid:

All this comes amid Eagle Pass being overrun by illegal migrants, with thousands reportedly crossing the border on Wednesday alone. An additional 14,000 crossed the border last week, and a total of 270,000 have crossed the border this year.
3-4k migrants flooded Eagle Pass today, less than 24 hrs after the city issued an emergency declaration. A total of 10,000 could arrive by Friday.

All this also comes amid Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas, a Democrat, declaring a state of emergency this weekend because of all the migrants sidling into town.
“The mayor, Rolando Salinas Jr., declared a state of emergency, seeking additional support to respond to an influx of migrants that reached 2,500 on Wednesday, overwhelming the city of 28,000 that has been a focal point of efforts by the state of Texas to deter illegal crossings,” The New York Times reported.
“The number of arrivals has reached levels not seen in months, taxing local governments in California, Arizona and Texas as large numbers of people claiming asylum have been released by Border Patrol agents directly into border communities. That was the case in Eagle Pass, officials said, where the city’s lone shelter provider strained to accommodate the sudden arrival of so many people. Many were released onto the streets of the city,” according to the Times.
“They are walking around the streets,” the mayor said in an interview. “The hospital is getting swamped also.”
And again, the Biden administration is doing nothing to stop it but plenty to exacerbate it, including granting work permits to 472,000 Venezuelan illegals on Wednesday.
The population of Venezuela is 28,838,499.
It would be more, but 472,000 of them have invaded here since Biden opened the border…

Dovetailing back to Abbott, he also published a letter he’d written to President Joe Biden last November in which he’d slammed him for “opening our border.”
“Your inaction has led to catastrophic consequences. Under your watch, America is suffering the highest volume of illegal immigration in the history of our country. This past year, more than 2 million immigrants tried to enter the country illegally, coming from more than 100 countries across the globe. Worse yet, your failed border policies recently prompted a United Nations agency to declare that the border between the United States and Mexico is the deadliest land crossing in the world,” the letter reads.
“Texans are paying the price for your failure. Ranches are being ripped apart, and homes are vulnerable to intrusion. Our border communities are regularly disrupted by human traffickers and bailouts. Deadly fentanyl is crossing the porous border to such a degree that it is now the leading cause of death for citizens between the ages of 18 and 45. By opening our border to this record-breaking level of illegal immigration, you and your Administration are in violation of Article IV, § 4 of the U.S. Constitution,” it continues.
I officially declared an invasion at our border because of Biden’s policies.
We deployed the Texas National Guard, DPS & local law enforcement.
We are building a border wall, razor wire & marine barriers.
We are also repelling migrants.
