Universal Pictures Announces ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel Title
Today, Universal Pictures announced that the upcoming Jurassic World sequel has been officially titled Jurassic World: Rebirth. The film has been in production for several months by director Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, Godzilla) and has a screenplay by original Jurassic Park writer David Koepp. It will star Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali and Rupert Friend.
Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.
Jurassic World: Rebirth is slated to hit theaters on July 2nd, 2025
