With great expectations, Amazon debuted the inaugural first regular season of Thursday Night Football games in September.

The company made history by becoming NFL’s first exclusive national streaming rights holder. Thursday Night Football (TNF) could pave the way for other deals in the future.

Thursday Night Football (TNF) game keeps freezing

Bu it looks like they have hit their first hurdle as many subscribers have been troubled by the TNF viewing experience on Amazon Prime Video (1,2,3,4,5,6).

Thursday Night Football (TNF) game freezing

Considering that users pay money to see the game, it should work without any hiccups. However, that’s not the case as the stream keeps lagging or buffering for many of them.

Several users have resorted to Twitter to complain about the constant freezing throughout the Thursday Night Football (TNF) game stream, despite having a high-speed steady internet connection.

Pretty awesome to pay for @PrimeVideo just to watch the @NFL game tonight between the @Broncos & @Colts and the stream keeps freezing or stopping every few minutes. Pathetic and so is the game. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

I have Prime and I’ve watched all of 10 minutes of all the TNF games (besides the one I had on local tv)–and that’s being generous These Thursday night games have SUUCCKKEEDD

Not only that, but many are having audio problems when watching the Thursday Night Football (TNF) game (1,2,3,4).

In some circumstances, the audio appears to be out of sync with the video while others claim the overall sound quality is very poor.

Amazon Prime TNF audio issues

Amazon support suggested some troubleshooting methods like exiting and re-entering the game stream, changing the quality of the stream and turning off the Motion setting on your TV but nothing seems to work.

This is really frustrating and is infuriating many users since they are unable to watch the Thursday Night Football (TNF) game and now they demand a free subscription to Amazon Prime Video as compensation.

Hulu users also faced a similar issue with NBC Sunday Night Football broadcast. So, it seems that these online platforms just can’t match cable TV when it comes to the viewing experience of sports.
