Over 150 movies are leaving on Netflix on New Year’s Day!

Netflix US is about to ring in the new year with one of its biggest licensing shakeups in recent memory, a fireworks display of farewells that spans cult classics, blockbuster franchises, Oscar-calibre dramas, and even a handful of Netflix Originals cycling out of the library.
January 2026 brings an unusually packed wave of departures, from superhero tentpoles and beloved comedies to crowd-pleasing family films and long-standing comfort rewatches. If something in your rotation comes from Sony, Warner Bros, or a past Netflix deal, there’s a decent chance it’s on the move, so now’s the moment to squeeze in those final watches before they vanish with the arrival of the new year.
