The internet is sizzling with the smartschoolboy9 saga and there are rumours that an investigation has been initiated and a person has been arrested in this connection.
For the unversed, the matter was first raised by a concerned Instagram user who unearthed a chain of accounts which featured disquieting edited pictures of minors and children.
The owner of these pages masqueraded as kids despite being an adult and was infatuated with high-heeled mini-boots and school uniforms.
Digging deeper, the user unearthed the fact that the contents originated from the same user “smartschoolboy9.”
The user has asked other users to share information about the person behind smartschoolboy9 and internet sleuths have identified the man running the ‘rabbit hole’ of several accounts posting disturbing images, as 59-year-old David Walter Alter.
YouTuber Nick Crowley has even created a 27-minute compilation of all the available information on the case in his documentary titled ‘smartschoolboy9: An Internet Rabbit Hole’.
Crowley has chronicled how over a dozen accounts have been unearthed all following one another to make it seem legitimate.
The internet sleuths also discovered that the children were interacting with other children.
Some of the pictures seem to have been taken by the person himself.
When media house Dexerto reached out to South Yorkshire Police for comment the Police spokesman only said that they can neither confirm nor deny the name of the person and he could or could not be a subject for any investigations carried out by the South Yorkshire Police investigation.
However, despite a lack of any evidence speculations are flying thick and fast that smartschoolboy9 used to live in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
He later shifted his residence to Streatham, London and he has resided there since then to this date.
Was smartschoolboy9 Detained?
Redditors on a subreddit for Doncaster had first shared details of smartschoolboy9 either driven out of the city for his conduct or was detained in the South Yorkshire in the 1990s.
However, later the posts were deleted.
Reddit user u/mildmanneredcannibal stated that he had posted a few screenshots from one of the threads on r/smartschoolboy9 page about David being arrested.
However, after learning that he hadn’t been arrested, the post was deleted.
The user further said that he had found a comment thread on r/doncaster saying that the arrest happened in/around the 90s.
Another screenshot showed a post from August 13 when residents of Doncaster were asked if they knew about the man named “David Walter Alter.”
The post stated that the person was jailed for talking to teenage students.
Another user u/Hot_Supermarket_9970 has shared what they claimed to be proof that smartschoolboy9 has been dressing as a schoolboy since the 90s and his behavior led to a visit by the Police.
