Back at Myungsoondang, Me-ri and Woo-joo keep their relationship a secret. To celebrate the success of their new product, Woo-joo’s grandmother invites the marketing team for lunch. During the meal, her wise words about honesty strike a chord in Me-ri. She begins to feel guilty for involving Woo-joo in the fake marriage plan.

When Jin-gyeong visits the house, Me-ri overhears her colleagues whispering about how perfect Jin-gyeong would be as Woo-joo’s fiancée. The remarks sting, making her heart heavy with doubt. Yet, Jin-gyeong surprises everyone by telling Woo-joo’s grandmother that she sees him only as a brother, not as a romantic partner.
