‘Big clubs’: Leon Osman backs ‘terrific’ Premier League winger for possible Arsenal transfer
Leon Osman has backed Wolves winger Pedro Neto to secure a January transfer amid interest from the likes of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
The 23-year-old has had many injury issues over the years, but this season, all of that seems to be behind him because he has started like a house on fire.
Despite playing for a Wolves side tipped to struggle this season, Pedro Neto has five assists from eight Premier League games, with Leon Osman labelling him ‘terrific’, as he told Premier League Productions (09/10/23 at 4:50 pm).
That’s only putting more spotlight on him, with suggestions that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to bring him on board.
Given Pedro Neto’s ability to play either flank, mainly on the right side, then his possible transfer in the winter becomes more attractive.
Arsenal need better depth in quality behind star man Bukayo Saka, as Osman is backing him for a transfer.

“In Neto, especially, he has looked terrific this season,” said Osman.
“If he can stay fit until January, then it shows teams that the injuries are behind him and he is potentially going to be scouted by one of those big clubs.”

Neto has a running style that is not-too-dissimilar to Gabriel Martinelli. Both can really accelerate and beat opponents when one-v-one on the flanks.
Against Manchester City and Aston Villa, the Portuguese star has well and truly rinsed his opponents and played a part in Wolves opening the scoring.
And whilst Neto can carry the ball with ease, it also comes with an end product, as his stats from the start of this campaign prove. Six-goal involvements in eight games for one of the weaker sides in the Premier League is pretty impressive.
