Lil Baby and James Harden are not in a secret ‘relationship’ despite viral post
First things first, the Drip Too Hard rapper and the Philadelphia 76ers star are not in a “secret relationship” as the viral post claimed. James has dated several A-list celebrities like Khloe Kardashian and Amber Rose. Lil Baby, on the other hand, has dated influencer Jayda Cheaves in the past.
The rumor began with a post on a parody account of the NBA called NBAĆentel. They decided to pull a prank on fans on October 23 and posted a tweet saying, “James Harden reveals he’s been in a “secret relationship with Lil Baby for over 3 years now.”
“I enjoy him, he enjoys me. That’s how we bromance. Life’s good for me right now,” it further said in a fake statement they claimed came from the 34-year-old NBA star.
A picture of Lil Baby and James was also attached to the tweet. The post was deleted shortly after it surfaced when people began taking the post too seriously. However, the fake news spread like wildfire, with many fans believing it and also spreading the word.
The two have been friends
It is very well-known among fans that Lil Baby and James are really great friends. TMZ reports that, for the rapper’s 2020 bash, James spent almost $300K on his friend’s special day.
What’s more, James was also named the executive producer on Lil Baby and Lil Durk’s 2021 album The Voice of the Heroes.
Talking about his friendship with James, Lil Baby told TMZ in early 2023, “He’s my guy.” The rapper also revealed they “bonded from day one.”
Lil Baby debunks another ‘dumb’ rumor
The “secret relationship” with James Harden rumor isn’t the only one Lil Baby is facing on Twitter today. The rapper was forced to take to his Instagram and debunk wild rumors about his alleged NSFW tape leaking on Twitter.
The video shows two individuals engaged in an intimate act. The only face in the video is covered with giant text saying “Nah Lil Baby”. As a result, the person’s identity cannot be ascertained despite the wild claims.
The rapper quickly put an end to claims it was him. “Y’all gotta stop using my name and likeness when y’all get bored. The extremes MFs go to for clout is sick,” he wrote in his Instagram story.
