Rudy Giuliani cuts off Newsmax host to reject ‘absurd’ claim he groped ex-Trump aide at Jan. 6 rally

Rudy Giuliani vehemently denied former Trump aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s “totally absurd” claim that he groped her backstage at the ex-president’s “Stop the Steal” rally on Jan. 6, 2021.

Guiliani cut off Newsmax host Eric Bolling Wednesday when asked about Hutchinson’s allegation in her new book, saying he had his staff with him throughout the day and constantly taking pictures with fans during the rally.

“Completely absolutely false,” Giuliani, 79, interrupted. “Totally absurd. She claimed that I groped her in a tent on Jan. 6, where all the people went in that were very, very cold as a result of the president’s speech … I’m going to grope somebody with 100 people?”

In her new book “Enough,” Hutchinson described Giuliani as a “wolf closing in on its prey” and alleged he slipped his hand “under my blazer, then my skirt,” according to the Guardian, which obtained an advance copy.

“I feel his frozen fingers trail up my thigh,” Hutchinson claimed in the book. “He tilts his chin up. The whites of his eyes look jaundiced. My eyes dart to [Trump adviser] John Eastman, who flashes a leering grin.”

“I fight against the tension in my muscles and recoil from Rudy’s grip. [F]illed with rage, I storm through the tent, on yet another quest for Mark [Meadows].”

“First of all, I’m not going to grope somebody at all,” Giuliani went on to Bolling. “And No. 2, in front of 100 people? Plus that day, I had extra security and I had my entire staff around me virtually all day because I took them to the speech as kind of a reward for all the work they did. So I brought 10 people to the speech. They were with me at virtually every moment that I was there.

“It’s completely absurd. It’s as crazy as a statement that the president jumped over the seat and took over the car.”

Giuliani was referring to Hutchinson’s claim from last June’s hearing on the Capitol riot in which she said former President Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of the presidential SUV from a Secret Service officer in a bid to rejoin his supporters.

Hutchinson claimed Trump shouted at the Secret Service, “I’m the f–king president! Take me up to the Capitol now!”
