shark tank india season 3 episode 23

The episode starts with the founders of Artinci who ask for Rs 50 Lakhs for 1.75% equity of the company. The founders discuss the love that their family shares for sweets and why they got into the business of making healthy desserts which are tasty and sugar-free. The founders discuss the different sweeteners that they make for their desserts and their pasts as well. Getting further into their business, the founders discuss that their desserts, unlike other sugar-free ice creams, do not cause sugar spikes.

The Sharks are left baffled at the losses of the company and the founders open up about their misguided way of doing business previously. One by one the Sharks drop out after giving them advice on how to cut down on spending and rebranding themselves to do better. Vineeta is the only one who gives the founders an offer with three stipulations and after some back and forth, the deal is done at Rs 50 Lakhs for 5% equity and a 1% royalty until Rs 75 Lakhs is recouped.

The Rage Room comes the Tank next and the Sharks are left baffled when they learn that the business focuses on giving people a space to destroy things in order to let out their frustrations and anger. After the founder gives an entertaining pitch and a funny backstory of how the entire business came to be. After doing a demo, the Sharks discuss whether it truly helps to remove frustration and question whether it can truly help a person to get over their pent-up anger.

Although the founder tells the Sharks about rage rooms outside India and that there are different kinds of people who use the establishment, the panel is not impressed. Most question whether this can become a liability in the future and, after not being impressed with the business, all the Sharks opt out of the deal.

Next, we meet the founders of Aastey, who are a company that makes athleisure wear that is sustainable and inclusive of all sizes. After giving their pitch, the founders ask for Rs 80 Lakhs for 2% equity. Next, the two founders discuss their pasts, how they came up with the idea for the business and what they are trying to convey through their branding. They further discuss their engagement story and how Lululemon inspired them.

However, the Sharks question how they will differentiate their brand from the others. As the founders discuss this, they open up about how they have spent money on Meta Ads and how that has depleted their business savings. The shocking revelations surrounding their business, with Rs 1.52 crores worth of inventory in stock and no money in the bank result in the Sharks backing out of investing in the business and the founders have to go back empty-handed.

Shark Tank Season 3 Episode 23 Review

shark tank india season 3 episode 23

This episode of Shark Tank India gave us three new businesses who are doing very different things but their pitches are all entertaining. Of course, The Rage Room is the most interesting of the lot and the activity and vision will align with a lot of viewers. The pitch and the Sharks’ response to it was hilarious and the little banter between Aman and Peyush was quite entertaining. Oh, and we did not forget what Anupam said in between there!

The other two businesses, albeit a bit ordinary, had much to teach young entrepreneurs on how to go about their budding businesses. I think this episode was quite entertaining and the pitchers’ and their businesses will give birth to interesting and productive conversations on what works and what doesn’t.
