Tottenham Hotspur keen on signing Arsenal star’s twin brother

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber but could see Arsenal launch an emotional move.

Quinten Timber is earning real interest from a host of Premier League clubs after shining for Feyenoord.

That is according to 90Min, who claim that Timber is being studied by number of clubs around Europe.

Feyenoord won the Eredivisie title and reached the Europa League quarter-finals last season before losing the likes of Orkun Kokcu, Danilo, Marcus Pedersen and Sebastian Szymanski.

Boss Arne Slot continues to impress though and Feyenoord remain a threat in the Eredivisie and in the Champions League, with his key players now attracting interest.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur want Quinten Timber

It’s suggested that midfielder Quinten Timber is one player attracting major interest, just like striker Santiago Gimenez.

The report claims that Arsenal have been impressed with Timber during their scouting trips to Rotterdam this season.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United are also interested, just like Arsenal’s North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Feyenoord forked out around €10million (£8.7million) to sign Timber from Utrecht in the summer of 2020.

Now thriving following Kokcu’s departure, Feyenoord will be in a position to demand hefty profit on Timber.

Arsenal can offer Timber an emotional move

Mounting Premier League interest isn’t a huge surprise; Timber is an athletic, ball-carrying midfielder who has big potential at 22.

Arsenal’s interest is particularly intriguing though as it would mean Timber joining forces with his twin brother.

The Gunners splashed the cash to sign defender Jurrien Timber from Ajax, but he finds himself out for most of the season through injury.

The pair were at Ajax together but whilst Jurrien became a first-team star, Quinten never made a first-team appearance and had to move on.

They could now reunite at Arsenal with interest from the Gunners potentially giving an emotional pull that other clubs just can’t match.
