Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka dazzled the Dutch media with his performance against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night.

Bukayo Saka got Arsenal’s scoring started on Wednesday night as they hammered PSV Eindhoven 4-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners were back in Champions League action after a long, long absence and got straight down to business against PSV.

Saka opened the scoring with a neat right-footed finish before Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus made it 3-0.

Martin Odegaard added number four in the second half, securing a big win for Arsenal as they started their group stage campaign in perfect form.

Saka has now been praised by the Dutch media, who were hugely impressed with his performance on Wednesday.

Voetbal Primeur highlighted that PSV’s Peter Bosz brought Sergino Dest into the side to try and deal with Saka.

The idea was for right-footed Dest to be in a good position to deal with Saka when cutting in on his left foot.

Well, Saka destroyed that idea but being a constant threat all night long and even scoring with his right foot!

Voetbal Primeur note that Saka was ‘always dangerous’ and Dest could no nothing to stop him from shining for Arsenal.

Saka v PSV stats

The stats certainly support the idea that Saka was a real menace for PSV to deal with on Wednesday night.

Saka not only scored but also laid on an assist, teeing up Trossard to make it 2-0 in the first half.

Saka recorded three key passes and two successful dribbles, proving to be a threat in the final third.

The 22-year-old just continues to excel; Premier League, World Cup, Champions League – it just doesn’t matter, Saka is that good.

Having made a mockery of the idea of Dest containing him, Saka has left Bosz and other managers wondering how to stop him.
