A new South Park exclusive event subtitled Joining The Panderverse premieres on Paramount+ on Friday, October 27th 2023 in the US and Canada.

It will be streaming exclusively on the platform, following in the footsteps of previous events like Streaming Wars and Post-Covid.

For this special, Cartman’s strange dreams threaten to consume his regular life, and it will deal with such relevant topics as artificial intelligence. The trailer unveils that the special will feature gender-swapped versions of Cartman, Stan, and Kenny.

“How does this even make any sense?” Kyle comments referring to a very different version of Cartman.

Again, it’s exclusive to the platform and you won’t find it available elsewhere. You can watch through Paramount+ directly or subscribe to the Paramount+ channel as part of your Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Is South Park renewed for season 27?

Yes, Comedy Central has renewed South Park all the way through 2027, meaning it’s confirmed for seasons 27-30.

Although WarnerMedia acquired exclusive streaming rights to the show for HBO Max, beginning in 2020 for HBO Max, a number of specials were announced exclusively to Paramount+.

“I think it cuts both ways,” Matt told the Los Angeles Times when asked if the hour-long specials help open the duo up creatively.

“I really like the Pandemic Special and the Vaccination Special. Like a lot of people, we had to go fully remote, so we had to come up with a new production process, and that was pretty painful. The longer ones are sometimes really satisfying because Trey gets to write stuff that breathes a little more.”

Trety added “After we had done some specials and we went back to the regular season, it was definitely like, “Holy s—.” They felt so fast. And it felt like, ‘Dude, we’ve already got 15 minutes but we’ve got to finish this story.’ It was nice to go back to that, but it was also definitely jarring.
