Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur did not win against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, but Spurs did produce a very good and encouraging performance.
Tottenham Hotspur came twice from behind to play out a 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the North London derby on Sunday.
Although Arsenal started strongly in the Premier League match, in the end, you have to say that it was a fair result on the balance of play.
Pedro Porro impressive for Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal
One of the Tottenham players who did well was Pedro Porro.
Porro started at right-back in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
The 24-year-old has been playing well for Tottenham this season.
And, the Spain international was impressive again in the North London derby.
Porro was brilliant defensively and stopped Arsenal from attacking down his side.
There had been concerns about the Spaniard’s defensive ability, but under Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou, he has developed that side of the game.
Praise for Pedro Porro
In the North London derby on Sunday, Porro had a pass accuracy of 73.8%, took 69 touches, attempted one dribble, made five tackles, one interception and two clearances, and put in five crosses.
And Graham Roberts has been impressed.
